Sam Friehe

Sam Friehe is a Co-Founder and President of the Volume Division at VirtuActive.

A founding partner, Sam brings more than 25 years of experience in residential design and construction. He has been immersed in the building industry since his teens and holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. Prior to VirtuActive, Sam worked with custom home builders and multi-family developers and spent over a decade operating his own home-building business alongside his wife, Kayla.

In his current role, Sam oversees VirtuActive’s Volume Division, working directly with volume and production home builders across the country. He leads coordination of processes, timelines, training, and drafting team oversight, with a strong focus on efficiency, clear communication, schedule adherence, and plan accuracy.

Outside the office, Sam enjoys life with his wife and their three boys. Much of his free time is spent coaching youth sports, golfing, fishing, hunting, tackling yard projects, navigating the chaos of kids’ activities (often capped off with living-room wrestling matches), and traveling whenever he gets the chance. He’s also a devoted Husker football and Creighton basketball fan (a proud, self-proclaimed “Jaysker”), enjoys live music, time with friends, and checking bucket-list golf courses off one by one.
